Loubressac was one of the places where the famous photographer Robert Doisneau liked to spend his summers and once you’ve stayed here, you’ll see why.

The flower-bedecked, narrow streets converge onto a shady square in which stands the 12th and 16th-century church of Saint-Jean Baptiste. The medieval houses, roofed with old tiles and typical of the Quercy region, are bathed in warm sunshine. The village is overlooked by its château on a promontory and gives a wide panoramic view over the Dordogne and Bave valleys.
Loubressac is also the starting-point for many ramblers’ routes that spread out across Haut-Quercy and link the surrounding villages. Springs, dolmens, panoramas open to all points of the compass over the valleys of the Dordogne, the Cère and the Bave, the Causse dotted with flowers and dry-stone walls: everything here is photogenic and will leave you with unforgettable memories.

A jewel of the Renaissance. The architecture and sculptures are worthy of a royal palace. There is a monumental staircase, 16th and 17th century tapestries and a Renaissance internal courtyard.

An endless series of rock formations and many stalagmites 8 to 10 metres in heights, some of them extremely slender: a harmonious and delightful cavern.
